Those guys who shave their heads, and those of us whose hair is getting less and less by the day, are making things easy for the heavens. There’s much less hair left on our heads to count. On a more serious note, Jesus says in Matthew 10:30 that God is so close to us that He even numbers the hairs on our heads. He also knows how many of those hairs fall out every day. If I can remember correctly, I read somewhere that a normal person loses as much as 150 per day. None of them escapes heaven’s attention.
Why do we receive such special attention? The answer’s simple. As followers of Jesus, we are God’s most-precious earthly assets. We are his handiwork. We are his permanent property. That’s why the Lord carries us around in his hand every day, as Jesus tells us in John 10:28-30. Absolutely nothing that happens in our lives ever escapes his attention. He hears every prayer that passes from our lips in the Name of his Son. He knows of every step that we give day after day. He is in attendance at every conversation that we have. The Lord is involved in detail of all that we do.
